Rhode Island Hospital's new Hematology/Oncology Clinic has opened at 900 Warren Avenue in East Providence. This clinic extends the quality physician services currently offered at the hospital's Comprehensive Cancer Center into your community.
The new clinic provides ease of access for patients. Timely communication back to referring physicians is of utmost important to us as we partner in patient care.
Patients are seen at the clinic on Wednesday mornings, between 8 a.m. and noon.
Evaluation and/or consultation is available at the clinic for adult patients with suspected or confirmed hematologic or oncologic malignancy or benign hematologic disease. Continuity of cancer care will be managed through the Comprehensive Cancer Center, where all diagnostic and treatment modalities, including chemotherapy, PET/CT, and traditional radiation as well as stereotactic and brachytherapy are offered. These services are complemented by an on-site psychiatrist, social workers, nutritionists, and patient navigators.
